Memory: how far back does it go? To yesterday, last week, twenty years ago, a hundred? Several lifetimes?

Are we living in some kind of cosmic consciousness soup with details of individuality floating free like carrots or spices in that soup?

The humor in this particular cartoon is of course the specificity, the possibility that such exactness in recall can be expected. Do we have access to such pinpoint remembrances?

I think we do. Whether that’s on demand, or simply random, is another question.
